After his first single “Shore” featuring Milk & Bone, Hoodies at Night returns with his new single “NYNJII”, released on March 2nd via Maisonnette.
“NYNJII” is currently the theme for music TV show “PLAY” hosted by Nicolas Ouellet on VrakTV. The single will be performed on the TV show this Thursday.
Jonathan Dauphinais is behind the project Hoodies At Night. Since 2009, Jonathan has played with notorious acts such as Beast, Ariane Moffatt and Dumas.
In 2014 he wanted to shake things up and create new, cutting-edge music under the artist name Hoodies At Night. His style is compared to Jamie XX and Flume, but his sound is uniquely his own. Everything took off after he played a rough mix of his song “Shore” feat. Milk&Bone at a friend’s party. The Hoodies at Night track was played at the right place and at the right time: “Shore” ended up being the Osheaga 2016 anthem. This gave an incredible exposure to the song, landing over 83 000 hits on Spotify in just a few months.
Jonathan has toured the world many times with an instrument he built himself: the KeyBass. Fusing an electronic keyboard with a bass, Jonathan’s creation was featured in dozens of music magazines, including Electronic Musician, No Treble and VOIR.
