Claudie Bertounesque is an award-nominee composer based in Montreal, Canada. She composed music for films, video games and various classical ensembles.

Her work includes Lady Sapiens (Little Big Story, Ideacom International, Ubisoft) by director Thomas Cirotteau, Disney Dreamlight Valley : A Rift in Time(Gameloft, Disney) by Gameloft Montreal, Après nous (Films de l’Oeil) by Élise Ekker-Lambert, Bonne nuit quand même (OHdio, Radio-Canada) by Maude Landry & Aimé Majeau Beauchamp and François Barbeau : Créateur de Costumes (Les Productions Flow) by Jean Beaudry, for which she was nominated for the “Best Original Score : Documentary” at the 34th Gémeaux Awards. She’s also an original music collaborator on the RodeoFX company audio team since 2023.

LE CHOEUR DES BÉLUGAS (commissioned by the Orchestre de l’Agora) and INTERLUDES (commissioned by Les Violons du Roy), both written by the composer, premiered respectively at the Maison symphonique and the Palais Montcalm under the baton of Nicolas Ellis in June 2024.

Claudie Bertounesque is credited as an orchestrator on numerous scores including For Honor game expansions Marching Fire, Vortiger and Sakura by Ubisoft Montreal (music by Luc St-Pierre), Film, the Living Record of our Memory by Inés Toharia Terán and Antisemitism by Ilan Ziv (music by Robert M. Lepage).

CLAUDIE_ completed a Master of Advanced Studies in Film Music Composition at Université de Sherbrooke (Canada). She is a former pupil of Canadian composers Robert Marcel Lepage, Benoit Groulx, Maxime Goulet and Thierry Gauthier.

Known as an innovative and passionate composer, she stands out for her creativity, versatility, her dynamism, as well as her wide open-mindedness to different styles of music : “… her curiosity and sensitivity are essential components of an ability to seek and integrate new ideas in a creative process.” (Mariko Sato, pianist and associate faculty member at the Golandsky Institute, NY).
